Elevate Yu Studio- Featured on CBS News

In a world where physical scars can leave lasting emotional wounds, one local medical tattoo studio in Pasadena, California is making a big impact… and recently found itself in the national spotlight, Gina’s mastership in medical tattooing is publicly recognized.

We at Elevate You Studio are thrilled and honored to have been recently featured on CBS News for our transformative medical tattoo work! This opportunity to share our mission and work with a wider audience means the world to us. Check out the full video below to see our story in action.

For those unfamiliar with medical tattoos, they are a specialized form of cosmetic tattooing that helps disguise scars, restore areolas after breast cancer, camouflage stretch marks, and more

Beyond the physical results, our work is ultimately about helping people heal emotionally from the trauma and challenges they've faced. Being able to share this on the KCAL-TV segment was a profound experience.

CBS Visits Our Medical Tattoo Studio in Pasadena

behind the scenes CBS Interview

When KCAL News reporter Nik Zecevic visited our Pasadena studio, he witnessed firsthand the artistry and science behind medical tattoos. But more than that, he saw the human impact of our work.

In an emotional interview, founder Gina Lee and a breast cancer survivor client shared how 3D nipple tattoos can restore not just physical appearance but a sense of wholeness and femininity after the trauma of mastectomy.

As Gina carefully mixed custom pigments to match the client's unique skin tone, Zecevic noted the precision and care that goes into each procedure. More than just tattooing, it’s a delicate process of color matching, shading, and texture replication to create the most natural-looking results. Every drop of pigment matters, as does every stroke of the needle.

But what stood out most in the feature was the emotional transformation that takes place in the tattoo chair. "I don't see the scars," the client shared tearfully after seeing her 3D nipple tattoos for the first time. "I see myself."

This powerful moment captured the essence of what we do at Elevate You Studio - helping people see themselves again, beyond the scars and trauma.

The Journey to the CBS Feature Was Long Yet Worthwhile

The road to this CBS News feature was paved with Gina's own personal and professional journey. After struggling with her own emotional scars surviving as a single mom of 2, she discovered the healing potential of medical tattooing. Determined to master this craft and share it with others, Gina pursued extensive training and certification, ultimately developing her own unique techniques.

In founding Elevate You Studio, Gina set out to create a space where compassion and expertise could come together to transform lives. She assembled a team of skilled artists, invested in state-of-the-art color matching skills, and strived to elevate industry standards. But beyond the technical aspects, Gina fostered a culture of empathy and non-judgment, inspiring people by ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and supported.

The CBS feature was a validation of how far we've come and the impact we've been able to make. But more than that, it was a chance to spread our mission even further - to let people know that they don't have to live with the constant reminder of their trauma, that healing is possible
